Triton Motorsports' floating brake discs bring true two-piece rotor construction to the F85 X5M and F86 X6M — a floating aluminum bell paired with a separate high-carbon iron alloy disc ring, built to handle the demands of these high-performance SUVs without the drawbacks of a fixed OEM rotor.
The floating design allows the disc ring to expand and contract independently of the bell as temperatures rise, reducing warping and internal stress that a one-piece rotor can't dissipate as effectively.
